Michelle Martinez is currently an intern at Jordon Voytek. She recently graduated with high honors from Jordan High School in Fulshear, Texas, and will be attending Howard University in the fall. There, she plans to major in Philosophy, minor in Art History, and participate in Pre-Law studies.
Michelle has long been passionate about both art and law. She spent three years actively involved in her school’s art program and served as the Historian for the National Art Honor Society during her senior year. At the same time, she was a dedicated member of the Jordan High School AP Capstone program, completing a year of AP Seminar and a year of AP Research.
Over the years, Michelle has competed in numerous art and writing competitions, earning regional recognition for her artwork three years in a row—including a year where she advanced to state-level judging—and receiving two Scholastic Gold Keys for her writing.
To further explore her interests, Michelle attended two summer programs at UCLA. In 2023, she participated in the university’s Mock Trial Institute, where she studied the fundamentals of law, observed real court proceedings, and took part in mock trials, earning Best Witness in both trials for her strong case comprehension, creativity, and quick-thinking support to her team. She returned to UCLA in 2024 for an immersive summer of art courses, focusing on art history, methods, and various creative mediums.
Michelle is drawn to the intersection of creativity and justice and aspires to build a career that integrates both. Outside of academics, she has been involved in the National Honor Society and regularly volunteers at community events. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, painting, fashion, debate, and music.
She is excited to be part of the team at Jordon Voytek and looks forward to gaining valuable hands-on experience.
