Ethan Dunn, JD

Ethan is Of Counsel to Jordon Voytek.  He focuses his practice on health care law, as well as a broad range of business transactions.  Ethan advises hospitals, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, behavioral health providers, home health agencies, biotech companies, and other health care provider organizations on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, affiliations, and strategic partnerships. 

Ethan helps clients navigate the unique compliance challenges in health care transactions, including issues arising under the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, and state licensing requirements.  He regularly negotiates asset purchase agreements, stock purchase agreements, operating agreements, and management services agreements, with a focus on aligning deal structures with business goals.  He also advises on payor contracting, value-based payment, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, audits, and internal investigations.

Whether it’s counseling a startup in its first steps or negotiating the sale of a mature business, Ethan is known for his pragmatic, business-minded approach and ability to translate complex regulations into actionable solutions.

Ethan is married to Anne Elizabeth, a pediatrician, and when not working they enjoy traveling, hiking with their two dogs, trivia night, and spending time with family. 

Ethan is admitted to practice in Kentucky, Virginia, and North Carolina.
